NextGen Student Ministries

5th - 12th Grade, Sunday Evenings

NextGen is the place where students can come to connect with each other and God. We gather for weekly youth group on Sunday nights. We also have activities throughout the year where our students and leaders can build relationships and have fun. NextGen is family. Come join us!

The Bridge (5-6th)

Series: Upside Down

Series Description: In God’s Big Story, Jesus showed compassion by becoming one of us. He taught us that sometimes you have to give things up to show others just how much you care.

Memory Verse: "Don’t do anything only to get ahead. Don’t do it because you are proud. Instead, be humble. Value others more than yourselves." (Philippians 2:3, NIrV)

Week to Week Breakdown

Week One: John the Baptist Is a Witness About Jesus (John 3:22-36)
Bottom Line: Jesus must increase. I must decrease.

Week Two: A Roman Commander Has Faith (Matthew 8:5-13)
Bottom Line: Remember God is most important.

Week Three: Be Humble / Love Your Enemies (Matthew 5:38-48)
Bottom Line: Love like Jesus even when it’s hard.

Week Four: 4th Sunday Game Night - Invite Your Friends!

Week Five: Palm Sunday / Jesus Washes His Disciples’ Feet (John 12:9-16, 13:1-17)

The word NOW in a large, yellow-to-pink gradient font on a blue background. Overlaid text reads 'Faith to Begin' and 'Purpose'.

Middle School (7th-8th)

Series: NOW

Series Description: “Now” helps middle schoolers see that following Jesus isn’t a someday plan—it’s a today practice. Each week invites them to notice how God is already at work and teaches simple, doable responses: listen, obey, serve, and keep going. We’ll connect purpose to small, faithful choices—right where they live: at school, at home, online. The win isn’t hype; it’s habits. Our hope is that by the end, students will know they don’t have to wait to matter. They can live their faith—now.

Memory Verse: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9 NIV).

Week to Week Breakdown

Week One: Scripture:1 Timothy 4:14
Bottom Line: Don't neglect your gift
Week Two: Scripture: Proverbs 22:29
Bottom Line: Excellence is your currency
Week Three: Scripture: Nehemiah 2:18
Bottom Line: Rise up and build faith

Week Four: 4th Sunday Game Night - Invite Your Friends!

Week Five: Scripture: 1 Corinthians 9:24
Bottom Line: Run your race with purpose

High School (9th-12th)

Series: Never Settle For Less

Series Description: High schoolers are constantly told to dream bigger, hustle harder, and chase success—but what if purpose isn’t something you chase, but something you’re called into? This series helps students see that God’s purpose isn’t about doing more, but becoming more like Him. Through weakness, struggle, and surrender, His plan starts to take shape. Our prayer is that students would see their lives not as random or accidental, but as part of something far greater than themselves.

Memory Verse: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9 NIV).

Week to Week Breakdown

Week One: Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:9
Bottom Line: God's power shines in our weakness
Week Two: Scripture: Philemon 1:15–16
Bottom Line: Every struggle has purpose
Week Three: Scripture: Psalm 119:105
Bottom Line: God's word lights your path

Week Four: 4th Sunday Game Night - Invite Your Friends!

Week Five: Scripture: Matthew 6:33-34
Bottom Line: Seek God, not tomorrow's success

Summer Camp 2026

Summer Camp 2026

We are super excited to be able to offer SUMMER CAMP once again this year! The dates are Monday June 15th – Friday June 19th. This adventure is for our kids entering 3rd-6th grade as of Fall of 2026. This is the phase of life where our kids begin to own their faith and following Jesus gets personal. That makes it the perfect time to experience a summer camp with LPC at a new location this year. It will be held at A Table in the Wilderness in Centennial WY! Our KidzLink and Next Gen leaders LOVE making this camp happen because it creates meaningful connections for kids with God and with peers. Not to mention, it’s a TON of fun.

NextGen Compassion Sponsorship

We want our students to develop generosity and believe that generosity takes practice. NextGen wants to provide a space for this. Every week at youth group we will receive an offering. In addition to giving in-person the students can also give online. Use the "other" category to give.

NextGen sponsors in Guatemala through Compassion International: Carlos. Our weekly giving will go towards the on-going sponsorship of Carlos.
