Spiritual Seasons
At LPC we are here to help you move towards Jesus in every season and to experience all that God has for you. These results are NOT a ranking or grade. They are insight into where you are to help you decide what to do next.
If you need to speak with a staff pastor about these results or for any other reason, please call the office at 303-227-1800 or e-mail info@landingplacechurch.com.
Trusting
Those who score as Trusting rank high on all dimensions of their assessment except in the area of finances. Although they may be facing financial challenges, something 15% of US churchgoers also experience, their outlook on life remains largely positive. They know that life's fullness is not defined by financial hardship. In fact, research shows that individuals with a solid faith and an active connection to a church community are more likely to flourish in their relationships, vocation, finances and health.
There is hope for your finances. God is our ultimate provider and He can show us how to be good stewards of the resources we're given. Here are two steps to take if you feel you're in a season of Trusting.
Exploring
Those who are Exploring score consistently across four of the five dimensions: relationships, vocation, finances and health. When it comes to questions about faith, the responses from this group indicate that they are exploring what it means to place God at the center of their lives. Research shows that those who are grounded in their spiritual life tend to flourish in all other areas.
We encourage you to keep exploring your faith and learning more about how following Jesus makes us better at life. Joining a small group or learning more about how to read the bible are two great ways to explore faith.
Growing
Those who are in a season of Growing are seeing each area of life as moving in a positive direction. They see that there's more to know, do, or experience, but also see that God is with them for every step. Research indicates that their strong faith and active spiritual life can help them flourish in their relationships, vocation, finances and health.
To keep growing in this season we suggest you consider joining a group. It will give you a faith community where you can have further conversations and hear different perspectives. You can also listen to "First Things First" led by Pastor Mark. This series will dive into the wisdom of scripture, offering practical tools and guidance to help you stay rooted in Jesus as you grow. Be encouraged! Many of your choices are leading you to Jesus who transforms lives.
Enduring
Those in a season of Enduring could be facing very difficult obstacles in life. It may also be that they are particularly hard on themselves when answering these questions. They may be feeling exhausted and discouraged. If you feel this way, you are not alone! Research shows that approximately 8% of other US churchgoers are also in a difficult season. There is hope. Research also shows that those who are actively connected to a church community, and anchored in a growing faith, tend to flourish over time.
We recommend joining a care group so that you can have the support of others who understand your specific challenges in life. You could also listen to the message series "Not A Stranger" where together we explore finding hope in a world of suffering. You are seen, you are loved, and there are others who know what it's like to be in a season where we must endure hard times.
Flourishing
A significant take away for those that are Flourishing is that their faith is strong in this season. While none of us are ever finished growing spiritually, this season is a great time to reflect on how God brought you here and how you may be able to help others with your experience and testimony.
We suggest praying for direction on how God wants you to pour into others. We are all called to make disciples. We suggest getting more information about joining a serving team or leading a small group. This may be your season to live generously with your time in order to lead others to Jesus whom as you have experienced, transforms lives.
For more information on leading a small group contact Ariel at aholcomb@landingplacechurch.com.
Unwavering
Those who are in an Unwavering season may be feeling like life is a struggle in the areas of health, finances, relationships or vocation. What's encouraging is that their answers indicate a strong faith. This means that even though individuals in this season may be facing challenges, their belief in God remains steady and their spiritual convictions remain firm.
You may want to consider which area of life is a challenge for you in this season. Then, lean on your church community to support you in letting Jesus transform that area. You can utilize our prayer team to be praying over this area with you by sending your prayer request to info@landingplacechurch.com or stop by Prayer Central after any of our Sunday services. If you'd rather talk to a pastor you can also contact Eric, our Care Pastor, at ebloom@landingplacechurch.com. Talking to a pastor is a great way to ask questions and get perspectives on how to move forward when an area of life is holding us back.
